Classical Music has completion in it. It is not only for entertainment
but also for the satisfaction of inner soul. It is a Classical Music
based on 'Shastras'. One Sacred Veda is 'Samveda' of music in which
Classical Music is based. We cannot describe about Classical Music
in words or in any language. It is a voice that reacts directly
in mind when somebody heard it and it creates lot of happiness in
heart. Music is a way to pray God, to get the God. We are the only
source to reach the God with the help of music. Through this we
get peace and pureness of soul. Today whole world admits the greatness
of Music.
Dr. Mustafa Raza plays
"Khayal" Gayaki style, which is one of the four ancient styles of
Indian Music. Khayal Gayaki is the oldest and purest gene of Indian
Music. It has a devotional mood and depicts, divine love, all other
style, dhrupad tarana, and thumri e.t.c. Vichiter Veena plays first
Alap which is an elaboration of the "Raga" and Raga is accompanied
by the 'Tamboora The Jod and Jhala come after the show moment. These
are also forms of Alap but in them the Tempo is increaseable to
a medium level. The artist himself takes care of the tempo with
the help of special "Chikari strings" which means to control the
tempo when playing "Jod and Jhala".
The composition of
Raga comes after these two moments that is accompanied by a Rhythm
instrument generally "Tabla". Dr. Mustafa Raza is only player of
Vichiter Veena, which plays both tabla and pakhawaj. The recital
is always concluded with jhala in very fast tempo. This music is
essentially a form of prayer and the musician offers it as a gift
of peace and joy. But the artist is morally bound to offer his music
with peace and joy to all listeners of music. The insight of the
maestro is thus conveyed the listener. Playing a pure musical note
on the instrument is like having a vision of God. The most recognized
Vichiter Veena player of the music world is Dr. Mustafa Raza rendering
of a pure note is like a prayer ascending in his own words. It brings
peace for the heart and peace for the mind.
